Hazard light switch doesn’t stay on

Hello all. My hazard lights won’t stay on. They work if I push the switch in and hold it but but the switch doesn’t lock in like I assume it should. Has anyone encountered this? I have a 91 XJ base.

I am pretty sure those switches are still available from the parts store. I think you need to tear into the steering column to swap them out, if I’m not mistaken.

Thanks. I’ll look into that. Not sure it’s worth tearing into the steering column.
