Haspin wheeling trip may 23rd

Just fixed my lights. I'd pinched and shorted my brake and right turn signal wires for my trailer harness behind the passenger side housing. I just cut off those wires for now, I'll have to rewire them before I use the trailer again.

I thought it might be something like that...

Glad you got it fixed!

Robert

"Another" missed moment...The "rapid hill descent" wasn't quite as funny as the snake at 491, but it was pretty good!
Robert
So true.. I was high stepping.. Lol

Holy crap!

Welcome to the neighborhood!
Robert

X2 on the welcome!!

I'm stalking ya. Nick too... :laugh3:

Just checked out the video .Not alot... but enough to make one good vid just need the
song. Still thinking Hinder (Take it to the Limit)

What ya think??

Nick

Cool!

Now the only thing better would be to have gotten that buggified monstrosity getting stuck on his way down...

We seem to bring that out in people.

Ohh my...........Just quit laughing!!! Your right! we went up it and he broke going down it!
It's so steep where he broke they straped to a tree.. While they went for parts..

Haspin Wheeling gotta love it.

I think there are two real stages to wheeling:

Stage One, you spend all your time envying the other guys huge rig, wishing you could build yours like it.

Stage Two, you start to recognize the shortcuts and weak links in those monsters, and appreciate taking the time to build yours right.

I'm really liking Stage Two.

Robert

yeah, that guy who broke was running 37s on full widths, with no frame reinforcement or brace for his stock 3-bolt steering box. Still not sure though how you destroy an axle shaft going downhill.

Sorry it took so long for a vid. I had to redo it, You-Tube is cracking down on using music.

The new angle on Clay Hill helped . Still way steeper than it looks on video.

Yeah, the side view does give a little better perspective...

Great video!

But I though Matthew got you on Clay, didn't he?

I'da thought you'd include that, I considered it the highlight of the day...

Thanks again, man. I do appreciate it!

Good question .. Never thought about it .I'am sure Matthew wouldn't mind. Just went and copied one of me on Clay Hill.

Guess I learned sumthin today.

Nick

I meant I thought Matt used your camera to get video of you on Clay Hill...

There wasn't any in the clip you posted...

See ya

Sounds like you need to get a vid camera Robert. :)

I've got a digital camera I never use.

Why would I blow $200 on a video camera I'd never use?

:dunno:

:D

Robert

(Maybe what I need is to enlist a videographer/copilot... A nice chatty one, maybe...)

Ok, I'd ask what's up with the whole chatty co-pilot thing, I seem to be missing something. But then I'd just look like an idiot for not getting it.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I am.
So what's up with the whole chatty co-pilot thing? You get bored wheeling or just like noisy people?

Ah okay...Nope camcorder was at the bottom with me. I do like the new angle, maybe next time.

Hmm good idea.. Warning!!! My cause ya to buy a camcorder.

That sounds like a very good idea....I, perhaps, have someone in mind for the next run.

Sweet!!! Lisa if you need a camcorder?? Your welcomed to use mine...
