You could also order the 7/8 heims from RuffStuff that come with a 1.25" ID tube adapter. Then just drill out the ends of your tubing (assuming 1.5x.250 since its the most common) and still keep a thick tube adapter so you dont have to worry about distortion.

Im on the bus back from class in NYC and my email just confirmed that i got my high steer arms and hiems and tube adapters. Cant wait to get home and take the official nac size refference picture.

Haha my cat wasnt interested with them so i figured no one else would be.

I took some pics but they came out blury and i havent had a chance to take more. Maybe today. Im going to have a few hours free so im going to buy a deep spindel socket. So i can get the hubs off.

Also i just bought an elcectric locker for the 60 from ctench. So next up is gears

Ok so i went on the auto zone site and they list the spindle sockets by vehicle but dont list the 78 ford front they list a rear. And also a j20 with a d60 would one of those work?

There's a 4 prong and 6 prong version for D60s.

Not sure what the years were for what got what.

I think Bill has 6 prong in his 78 D60, and I have 4 prong in my 88 D60.

There's a small 4 prong version for D44s too.

Colin has it right.
If it was me (and I did) buy the whole set. When I went to buy them each socket is close to $19 each and I needed two different ones. The entire set of 6 cost me $40-45. Never knew when I would use the other ones but I did helping a buddy with a TTB 44, and then some odd D30. I've used them all but one weird external type so far.

CAP has em, but I'm not sure what sizes and prong counts. I'd pull the hub apart enough to measure diameter and count the slots and go buy one.

I think i remember seeing 6 slots in the nut. I didnt realize thats how they were sized. I guess ill have to try the napa.

Ill check on the ford forum i remember seeing something about it awhile back

so I dont need the socket anymore, well at least not for a while. I got the nuts off with a hammer and a screwdriver.

heres my fancy heims and one of my high steer arms. Notice the enormous zip lock too!

I cant believe she had that much in her stomach. it doesent look like much in the picture but it had to be at least 10-15oz.

Im having a hell of a time finding 456 gears for the 60! Not many places carry the thin cut ring gears for the 456 and up carrier.

Im so pissed. I thought I had found some from G2 for a pretty good price but they are on back order and they have no idea when they will have more.

do you guys know of anywhere that sells what i need?

I tried:
randys ring and pinion
just diffs
ring and pinion.com
rustys
4wheel parts
and a couple more that I cant remember.
I even tried to get some quotes from pirate bet its been almost a week and none of the vendors have gotten back to me.

thick cut is for using the 410 and down carrier with 456+ gears.

my locker is is ment for 456+ gears so thick cut wont work. I found some on Nationaldrivetrain from motive, but it doesn't specify standard or reverse cut, or thick or normal cut. Idk im going to call them and ask.
