Any one have any first hand experience with the Harbor Freight garage air kit?

The reviews on the site are either really good, or really bad. The bad ones seem to be about leaks at the fittings, which makes me wonder if it was put together right, or if it does just leak. The price is attractive, but i don't want to waste my money if it is going to leak everywhere.

If you have one, or know someone who has one, let me know what you or they think of it.

I bought their air fitting kit, and every single one of the female quick couplers leaks as if it wasn't there when not connected. I dealt with it for about 6 months by disconnecting the hose from the tank instead of at the tool, but I got tired of it and just replaced them all with better ones from the auto parts store. I avoid anything to do with air tools and HF now, tools, hose, fittings... I've never had a good experience with them.

i used that hf kit for about 2 days then i threw it in the trash. it wasnt even worth my money in gas to go replace it. i use the hf airline but i buy the quick couplers from lowes or home depot. you can try it if you like but it was a complete waste of money for me.

I haven't bought that kit, but I must agree that all of HF's air connections are complete and utter garbage (even their "expensive" ones). Save yourself some pain and go to Sears - their couplings tend to last a long, long time with minimal leaking. Plus, they honestly don't cost that much more than HF's options.

I had there oil water seperator on my oba setup and it was rated for well over the psi I ran it at. All of a sudden it just exploded. THis was after I finally had gotten the thing to seal up properly. Replaced with a sears unit for 10 bucks more and no issues and never had a problem since. Only thing I will run air related from them now is air hose.

I have always bought my quick connects from HF but I take the time to sort through there bin. I will only buy the Amflo fittings they have. They are good fittings and NEVER leak.
The HF unmaked fittings they are mixed with are JUNK.
