Gee ... why am I not surprised that someone would bring politics into this? It never fails. WTF does liberal have to do with this? Obviously whoever wrote that is blind or a moron. Liberal or not. Well guess what? I'm a "pussyfooting" liberal (I think) and not only that ... a black pf liberal & I join everyone in saying that boy deserved the asswhooping he got. This type of stuff happens all the time ... they have lots of bravado when they're surrounded by people they think support them, and often like to (verbally & physically) abuse older or "weaker" people because they appear to be an easy target. Women are a favorite. This video reminds me that there is justice in the world. Clear case of self defence. The sad thing is, that the ol' man is now a target for punk boy & his peeps.

Callin them a liberal refers to the fact that as a whole, liberals tend to side with the black man who is a victim of his generation and society for telling him that this tough guy persona is what he should be living up to. If our culture hadn't oppressed the black man for so long, he wouldn't feel this sense of anger and angst against the "system" or feel like he has to lash out and blah blah blah...:D

And yes, in case you can't tell by the ironic nickname, I also am black. But I'm conservative in most areas.

wrong. the author isnt 'siding' with anyone, but s/he has this attitude of 'OH MY GOD THAT MEAN MAN HIT THE OTHER MAN IN THE FACE! WHERE ARE THE POLICE'. thats whats wrong w/ liberals imho.

now in this situation, that kid got what he deserved, his race has NOTHING

Have you ever seen a liberal stand up for the cops when a black person is involved? Remember Henry Louis Gates? Very liberal, immediately throws race into the situation. In the BART station I side with no one. The cop shouldn't have had his gun out or his finger on the trigger, especially since the guy was subdued. OTOH, the guy apparently did something to draw the attn of the cops in the first place. How'd you feel about the guy who killed 4 cops having breakfast getting shot and killed by another cop a few days later?
Obviously my example was a generalization (much like your comments) and meant somewhat tongue in cheek, but then it's no fun to poke fun at the middle ground libs and conservatives, gotta poke at the extremes. ;)

Actually, from the video, we don't know exactly what caused the older guy to be back there except that he did mention getting a shoe shine and claiming that the black guy offered,
In the AC Transit Bus Fight, it's hard to tell exactly what happened for the first two seconds, but then it was obvious the two traded slap-punches. The older white man did get in one good left hook, and that was enough to drop the young black man.

It's blatantly obvious what happened, the black guy walked up and threw a punch, the white guy jumped up and defended himself quite handily.

Bringing politics into a good ol' fist fight is what's wrong with this country. We just can't seem to get it right, using the wrong solutions for the wrong situations. Right is right & wrong is wrong. When that young guy followed the ol' man (who walked away from him) to the front of the bus, and then threw the first punch, he had it coming. Heck, he had it coming for several reasons. And it was handed to him. No politics needed.

Now someone please post another fight so I can get tomorrow's fix. I missed Criminal Minds earlier tonite.
 
I live in the bay area and am an occasional rider of the bus, and epic beard man is a local hero. Around here, he is now the standard of manliness.
