H4 HID conversion kit

The bulb is actually attached to an electromagnet and the whole thing actually moves in and out for high and low. That's why is clicks when you change your beams. So it's the same bulb.

Go with whatever brand you want, just make sure you use an E-Code housing. Otherwise you'll just be blinding everyone and creating more "xenon conversion" haters!

Lol no I won't do a conversion, I'll do a retro for a little more cash and get results that shouldn't even be compared...

urban yan's got it down, but those are already pre-made. A little more cash for a little less work.
 
I bought the kit for my XJ because a 6054 headlight is tough to retrofit...especially with bi-xenon projectors. It can be done, but it would involve cutting into the header panel.

It's not that I'm against custom retros. Check out my WJ :D

Fresh :) I can't wait to check out the beam pattern on the new fx50's. If it's even a different projector...

I'm still trying to find a way to cram some ls460 projectors in the 200mm without too much destruction of the header panel.
 
Actually not having cats SAVES me money... see, there's a difference in forking over 500 bucks on headlights and getting rid of cats which ends up getting me more power and better mileage, not to mention never having to replace a cat again... yea, I can see how you could get those two things confused... :roflmao:

You're right. I have less money in my pocket. My HIDS also produce less glare
 
Hahahaha oh I have a TERRIBLE problem with glare! Damnit if I would only have spent another four hundred dollars I coulda got rid of that damn glare! :laugh:
 
Hahahaha I'm sorry buddy, I'm honestly laughin my ass off right now, and not at you :) I was just tryin to say that $500 for headlight seems a lil pricey. But hey, I'm sorry for givin you shit for what you choose to spend your money on.
 
Is there a way that you could set up a set of these for use as an offroad light. Do they even make auxilary lights that take h4 bulbs that would work for an hid conversion? HID for under $100 I would worry about and would not want to run for my main lighting, but would be great for some offroad lights or driving lights.
 
I have the e-code european housings and hid xenon bulbs and they do glare pretty bad, but I just finished making some shields for them and I have almost no glare. I also spent only $100. I just used really thin aluminum and fabricated it to cover the lower half of the bulb and it works great.
