Gun Control

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in
the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a
total of 2,112 deaths, that gives a monthly firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for
the same period.

That means that you are about 33% more likely to be shot and killed
in the U.S. Capital, which has some of the strictest gun control
laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington immediately.

What is it that keeps the US in DC?

Statistically intersting, but you are not accounting for deaths due to IEDs and booby traps - making the relative odds of getting shot and killed in DC rather higher than in Iraq...

Solution? Fire the lobbyists, and spin DC off from the rest of the country and start over. I'm thinking let the Nation be run by Arizona or something like that - which should significantly reduce the number of asinine laws we're subject to...

While we're about it, rescind NFA1934 and GCA1968 - neither one really does any damn good (is it just me, or has the trend in firearm-related deaths increased since "gun control" mean something other than simply "steel on target?")

Build a big wall around DC and send in Plissken?

Of course... An isolated planned and organized incident carried haphazardly by the alarmist media must surely be evidence that gun control isn't working...

I thought gun control meant using both hands?
