:jaw drops at the sight of Caged's new ride:

damn, man... more pics!! <what happened, did ya roll it?>

There seems to be a little confusion:

if you want "doors only"- it's only the # of pieces as the doors you have. IE: 2 door doors only kit is 2 pieces. 4 door is 4 pieces.

I think folks are forgetting/don't realize that the front lower rear quarter <ie: behind front tire, in front of door> is included on the basic kit.

Clear as mud? ;)

BTW- 17 confirmed buyers as of this moment, Chris...
3, maybe 4 of which, are wanting the upper rear quarters, too.

... get busy. ;)

actually..the 'door only' kit is 6 pcs.. Basically everything between the wheel wells, 2 or 4 door. The 'complete set' of door guards is 8 pcs., the same as the 'door only' plus the lower rear 1/4s.

Thanks on the new ride! I have been wheeling it harder and harder every year. It has been over several times, but thats not the reason for the mods. I go wheelin mostly with a big dog group. What I meen is...one of the guys I go with won the UROC Extreme Modified class last year and finished 2nd at Super Crawl. I am always the little little dog trying to keep up. I hope it will all change this year. By the way Im also running a turbo on the 4.0 too :firedevil

oh, ok-- thanks for the clarification on the door only option.

Folks, this is the guy building the stuff, so his word is the real deal. My apologies for the goof there....

Turbo on the 4.0 eh?.......

- and now for something completely different:

Just drove my junk for the first time in two months, with the revamped suspension.

All I can say is holy sh_t, Batman-- WHAT a difference. We refurbished a buddy's stock 94 XJ a few months back- no lift, just replaced and realigned everything that is a wear item. My Jeep, with approx 7" of lift and 33" tires <severely cupped and worn, I might add, and severely in need of a proper alignment as I just eyeballed the caster> rides much much better than his does. Still a couple annoying creaks here and there, but I think a little love with the grease gun on all the zerks and some slip-plate on the leaves will have us rolling with the quietness. FINALLY!

... and I've not even started tweaking my shock rates yet. :sunshine:

Gotta love the longarms. Details of the build in my sig file. ;)

So now that I'm not quite so busy on that, you folks can count on the spreadsheet being in Caged's hands early Sunday morning.... ;)

I loved the swap from short to long arms. It was a huge difference.

Yeah- no doubt-- and my alignment is surely WAY the heck off, still.

Another great thing about longarms-- I've got the rotational urethane Johnny Joints-- so they're rebuildable. Try that with a hiem ;)

Darn shame I don't live in CO, man-- I'd either be wheeling/drinking/wrenching/welding with you, or all of the above. As it is, I need to plan a trip out there next year to meet up with my buddy Schwie, so I might be able to drop in and say hey.

RTV will work fine.

sounds great burntkat. Lets set it up! Yes use RVT or plane clear GE silicon. Do the top and ends but leave the bottom open to let moisture escape. I have been running these for almost 6 years now. It has worked get for me.

ok folks-- group buy is over-- get your emails to me at my userID above @gmail.com if you haven't already....

if you emailed me at Gmail, please do so again-- otherwise, don't worry about it....

ok, maybe I should clarify:

DELLSTOPJEEP: if you mailed me at gmail, please let me know the order is cancelled. Otherwise, don't worry about it...

other folks: if you're buying and haven't emailed me at Gmail-- do so. Otherwise, we're good to go...

....

I will be sending out payment requests and E-mails as soon as I get the list. Thanks to EVERYONE for your interest in this group buy!

Chris

Can we still get in on this??
I have a 97 4 door looking for the lower rear quarter.

Well... the 'Group Buy' ended last weekend and I still dont have the list of who wants in and what they want exactly from Burntkat. If you ALL could E-mail me at [email protected] I will get the payment arranged with each of you ASAP.

I need to know exactly what you want. (ie. 4 door xj complete Door set for countersunk rivets)

Thanks again, Chris Lasater
