Great meeting NAXJA Members

The good news is that the Mog stays grounded and doesn't float on the loose shale. The bad news is that it tends to migrate downslope. When I get into the XJ now, it feels like driving a sports car. Makes one appreciate the XJ's perfect wheelbase/weight/power. I may own a CJ someday, but the XJ just seems perfect to me. Glad to be here with a great group of XJ enthusiasts. :)

Well said Wilson , My first rig was a 1979 F250 man it was long and heavy. The one thing I miss the 400 V8 engine, When she was mashed AHH !!!The power and sound . I have the same feeling about wheeling my XJ. Nick

Robert and Greg , I mailed your Dvds last night. Should get them friday or saturday. Nick

Nick! Many thanks for the excellent DVD. Wasted my whole afternoon watching the videos over and over. I hope to give you another shot at some Mog footage this Fall!

Again, thanks.

Looks like a trip to Haspin on Friday and possibly one on Sunday. If you guys are interested, check it out over on TS board. It'll be a relatively "gentle" ride I would imagine.

Thanks for the invite, But My weekend will be spent in the garage.
MY sons XJ blew a rear main seal. Lots of carnage to repair on my rig from last weekend. Nick

Me too. I finally got my exhaust to quit rattling around, but a solid-mounted exhaust + totally trashed motor mounts = a busted manifold.

I got the new motor mounts in last weekend (almost losing a finger in the process, don't ask...) and my new manifold should be here tomorrow...

But we definitely gotta do it again soon.

When's good for you, guys? And Haspin again, or HnH?

Robert

I think I have family stuff on Sat the 30th, but I could probably do sunday or monday.

But Haspin's likely to be packed for the holiday, doncha think?

Robert

New tires for Mog arrive today. All the better to pull people out of the sand pit! :)

Tires look great cant wait to see them in action.

Please Give me another chance for some video.

Nick

Nick, I'd be honored to wheel with you video or not. :)

Speaking of video, next trip I'm gonna have a little experiment in lifting up a Jeep in the mud with some inflatable bags. A video of that would be way cool!

Greg you are to kind.

Looking forwarded to seeing the inflatable bags in action. Just hope its not me AND If IT is!!!! I know Iam in good hands.

Nick
