my buddy just got some km2's for his colorado, his are a metric size and are approximatly 33.8" tall. just in case you didn't want to go to a full 35" just thought Id let ya know
The tires did pretty good this weekend. It was wet and muddy, they cleaned out nice in some spots and not so nice in others. Over all I'm happy with them.
I LOVE the way these tires look and the price is pretty awesome too!
I've read some bad reviews about the KM2s, a lot of people post that they have pretty weak side walls and tear. Do yours look like they are holding up pretty good?
I had no problems with the side walls. I even had a bystander comment about how I was lucky to have a good side wall at one point. I know that doesn't mean squat but they held up fine. I thought they felt pretty thick for a radial to be honest.
The sidewall thing has me gunshy on the BFGs as well, they look great otherwise though. My Current BFG M/Ts have been horrible. I have one of my original 4 tires left thats not been replaced due to a sidewall cut. Plus I am not sure if my tire guy will sell me road hazzard anymore LOL. I Love the BFG M/Ts otherwise they are a great tire.
We'll see. I ran BFG ATs more than I should have a while back and I did have a few cuts in them. Not enough to leak but enough to make me consious of them on the road. I never puctured them enough to leak. For a radial I'm not sure what more one can ask for. I know these side walls are a lot thicker than anything Micky Thompson makes, not that that says a lot.
See I have to disagree there. My wheeling buddies mostly run MT tires, 2 sets of Claws and 3 sets of MTZs. IIRC one of them has a cut a tire and I have cut 3. I also had some Claws before my current BFGs with no trouble. I still like the BFG more but man these things look rough, they have so many cuts and slices I pray every morning they have air in them when I walk outside. This is going to be a tough call lol.
