So its my 16th birthday today and i just got back from the DMV with my license. Now I can actually drive the jeep regularly and get out on some trails.

Just in time for Winterfest right? (wrong. Try explaining to your mom when you have just turned sixteen that you want to drive down to Attica to meet up with a bunch of strangers that you know over the internet to go out in the woods and break parts on your Jeep :laugh3: )

well im sure ill be using this forum a lot more often now that i can actually potentially have problems with the xj. Not too much can go wrong when its just sitting in the garage.

Congradulations and Happy Birthday!!!!!
Remember..................
There ARE a bunch of idiots on the road and every one of 'em is out to get YOU.
Drive safe.

LOL. :roflmao:

I got my license, and then the parents left for a little road trip and my mom left me her Jeep to use while they were gone. I wheeled it, got it stuck, took half of the water/mud from the area back with me.

Then, after they start to figure things out, try explain that to them! ha.

Congratulations! Just remember to drive defensively. Ya never know who might be in the car next to ya.

hey man congrats i just got my liscence on the 23rd but my birthday is in october, i just waited really long. but yeah youd think that people would be able to see you in a white cherokee with 33's and a conferr with hacked fenders but people still like to cut you off no matter what your in i guess. i passed here in california and missed 0 points and i took the test in a big yukon that ive only driven like 3 times before. having a liscence is so convenient too. anyways, awsome

my jeep was already around 8 inches of lift when i was 16 (not too long ago actuallyt) and have gotten it on 2 wheels a few times...i dunno if that is scarier than rolling it or not...remember you break it you buy it!

sweet dude, got my licence a few months ago, its awesome, i had my jeep since i was 15 i lifted it 2 weeks after i got it. now its on 33's with 5" of lift and im broke

Congrats, my son had his 3 days before he found out that his toyota was not equipped with magic tires and rolled it. Drive slow, drive safe, don't take chances and pull out, you will find out it's much cheaper to wait to pull out, arrive 2 minutes late than jump out or haul ass...but I'm sure you have heard it all before, there are some people who study electronics theory that just have to piss on the electric fence before they tryly understand ohms law..

You can roll it going 30 on a street corner...

you can also roll a stock one going 30 on a street corner if the conditions are right.

Good Point Rev,
In English though :)
If you want to participate in Winterfest and you are not 18, you must fill out the form Rev linked, have your Parents or Guardian sign, and have it notarized.
Otherwise The Badlands won't let you play.

AND
You will need an escort OVER 18.

well i went out with a couple of friends last night and it was snowing pretty hard. I had one friend teach me how to drive safe by spinning out into someones front yard, almost hitting a median going 45, and running over a curb. I also spun out in a parking lot(the only time i wasn't trying to :laugh3: ) which was actually pretty fun, but it did get me thinking about driving a little safer.
