Got boost? M90?

supercoupes are real hard to find in the junkyards, are there any other cars to pull m90's off of? i heard they put them on some gm v6's, would those work or are they really different?

I know this is kindof an old thread but I'm interested in doing this mod on a TJ 4.0L and have some questions.

How did your bracket work out? I saw your pics on webshots but do you have any more. Was the bracket the only thing you had to fab?

I'm not on this board very often so reply to [email protected].

Thanks for the info!

I think it'd be more like 30%, but have nothing to back that up. 15% just sounds really low.

I did pick up an M90 from an 04 Impala SS. There's no real way to mount this thing in an XJ but I can use the center section and rotors in an SC model. The SC part is much shorter and is already setup for standalone inlet and outlet. The GM version blows down into the intake, it's twice as long also. Even the snout is a lot longer than the SC.

No updates.. project is in a stall, time time....and a lil cash..

Do need to swap the engine first, the old 4l is starting to sound like a bag of hammers revving it up.
With no snow down, sled season is late, Might start the engine swap int eh new year.

gbaronetXCR i v seen your setup i dont remember i think it was on imageshack i like the mounting brackets i m waiting to see how your project ends up.
I like the idea of mounting the Sc on the passenger side ( i dont mind a cowl ) exept i m thinking of mounting on top of the AC compressor I really cant give the AC up.

Ya, ya, dead thread...

How is this project going? Did you have any luck with the 3" tube? Great job so far by the way!

He sold his project a couple months ago, but Im following the same path right now....M90 on a stroker. I know what i want to do and how I want to do it, cash is extremely short right now. If it wasnt though, I would spend it until it was.

I'm in the same boat, I've got the time, the tools, and the ability, I just need the $$$.

How far along are you?

im in the same boat too, need THE $$$. starting to think it might be worth it to spend an extra $600 and go centrifigual instead of roots

Are you trying to keep the A/C?

Would it be better to build a 4.6L Stroker, with just about 9.6 CR, with a supercharger or build it then add a supercharger later?

Id say build your engine with plans for down the road. If you want to boost it, make sure your internals can take it, and prolly look into pistons that'll give you a lower CR and heavy duty head gasket.

No ac, if i get a blower I may adapt it to my stock motor so i have a baseline for fuel requirements before i build and try it on the stroker

Well, parts ate up my parts fund. For now. I decided to try to mount the sc to the stock engine until it blew up but i havent gotten very far on that either. School and a new two wheeled project have taken a lot of my time. I apologize I did not further pave an interesting path.

im in the same boat. theres a complete setup off a tbird on craigs for 150 and im frothing at the mouth, but with gas the way it is im concentrating on my 2.2L plymouth horizon right now.

If you look on ebay long enough your bound to find one for less than that. Or start checkin junkyards. Mine took me about 15 minutes to take off, and only cost $67. I know you they arent as common as our Jeeps, but theyre around
