I got JCR nut strips on the way already. If this fits, my plan is to spend a few weeks and clean it up (maybe have it sand blasted) and paint it.

he just said a jeep didnt say what kind?

hold it up there and see if the holes line up, it looks like it will hang down a bit but for free if it works its better than nothing

I plan on seeing if they line up, but I didn't have the XJ in the driveway at the time. He said just a Jeep. I don't think it is a TJ since TJ's are normally smaller I think. It has two bolts so if it isn't wide enough or too wide, it should adjust. I want to see if it fits before I start to clean it up (got to buy sand paper, primer and por15). I should be able to find out for sure once my nut strips get here.

I dont know how much lift you have but it looks simalar to the hitch I have on my 92 just a little lower slung.

Holy crap, Flat rock finally got internet.......:D Welcome!

It would be less effort for you to go hold it up to your Jeep than take pics and post.

Just hold it up there and see if the bolt holes line up! I'm not quite sure how a pic of it can verify any better then holding it up there for .25 seconds

When I took the pictures, didn't have the XJ in the driveway and it was dark. Probably won't have time to do it until Wednesday (I need to do some work to my moms van and she is taking my XJ to her job) and Tuesday I volunteer at the Children's museum until I go to work.

Judging by the slotted holes and the bolts in the crossbar, I'd say that's a "universal" type, and *might* work. Short of measuring it or test-fitting it, jot down the numbers off the labels, and Google it. The manufacturer or retailers should have a list of vehicles it will fit.

I've pulled hitches that look like that off of a few XJs. Like everyone else has said, they are adjustable to a certain degree and a "universal fit". You may have to get custom and drill some holes but it should fit.

Yeah, it's adjustable so you've got some forgiveness. I used on from a ZJ and had to add a couple holes, but it's certainly not difficult. You can make it work.

You are asking a bunch of guys that take a cut off wheel to our jeeps to make stuff fit :D Of course it will fit, it just may need some persuasion :D

I got the nut strips in the mail today and I could get two out of three holes on the hitch to line up with the nut strips. Guess I will be buying one next pay check for 75.

Photo, the one bolt in back is not going in. I could probably make it by grinding a little bit, but I would rather just spend the money and get a correct one that fits.
