good place to get a coil spring compressor in sacto

not for me, for my little brothers range rover.
we converted his range to coils from airbags and now we are gonna throw some 2" spacers on it to level it out.

anyone know a good place to buy some?

Harbor Freight has a good set i have been using for sometime now, a lot easier to use then the rentable ones i have seen or tried. there like 16 bucks also.

i didnt realize autozone rents em.
i might just rent a set.
usually their specialty tools to rent are of decent quality, i used their ball joint press for my ball joints and it was nice...

Leave the pressure on the spring and get 2 ratchet straps. Wrap them around the coil as tight as you can, then lift the rover. poof your own spring compressor.
Or you get some napa for a bill..

the rentable one are a PITA to use Jon, the ones at the parts store here you cant get a socket it on them you have to use a wrench one turn at a time on the inside of the coil once its hooked up. sucks!

yeah thats pretty much the same one from harbor freight, both parts stores around here had the one i posted up. i guess you just gotta call and see what they have.

Just be careful not to compress one side more than the other, I had one fly off and hit me in the head once.
