I'm coming down from Phoenix for a couple days....just want to get some ideas of what to do and where to eat....

ive been there a couple of times and i love it! just want to get some more info on what to do

looking for:

good sushi
good bar downtown
good place to bike near boulder
nice drive to take
and what casino to play cards at

Thanks fellas!

My band is playing in the battle of the bands on the 20th which is a Saturday night. You should come check it out haha

Still looking for 'good' Sushi here. But 'Happy Sumo' is passible. Has kind of a more hipster vibe than I like. Not being young, and never having been hip. But still, good serivce.

Sushi SaSa is great for sushi. It is by REI on 15th.

Just a thought... You can combine the nice drive and playing cards by heading west on I-70 into Idaho Springs and then taking Oh My God Road into Central City/Blackhawk. It's a dirt road and a bit bumpy, but gives you some great views.

Namiko's for sushi. One of the best I've had in Denver. Gotta try the Line of Fire shrimp! They won't break the bank either. www.namikos.com They're in the shopping center @ 52nd and Wadsworth. Just north of I-70 on the southeast corner of the big intersection. You won't regret it.

I second that! Very good for a fair price!

If you are going to be that far north, take Highway 72 through Wondervu, over to Highway 119, and then down to the casinos. With any luck at all, you'll forget all about them before you get there. LOL

thanks for all the responses....

Herb's is a cool little spot to have a few. There are plenty of bars within stumbling distance of each other.

The Sports Column is a good bar, big crowds usually on a Friday or Saturday night. Giggling Grizzly is a cool place also, smaller fun bar. Sing Sin is cool, if you like the dueling piano bar thing. All the bars would be in easy walking distance of Coors Field. Right to the South of Coors Field is Jackson Hole, also a good place for a couple drinks.

Falling Rock Taphouse. Just don't look for anything other than beer. It is a beer drinkers paradise. You don't go to be seen or to pick up on the latest trends.

Grab a stool, oogle over their extensive menu and sample beer you will probably never find anywhere else.

Hop skip and a jump away from Coors Field on Blake St between 19th and 20th.

As far as a nice drive to take, I like Hypoid's suggestion of 72 to Wondervu and beyond (I always head to RMNP). Especially that time of year with the leaves changing etc... Rocky Mountain National Park you are just as likely to be stopped in traffic due to Elk as you are vehicles. Pretty cool.

^^yeah i am going out to RMNP... Last time i went we only went to el dorado springs which was nice but there were no big mountains..

Are you talking about mtn. biking or dirt biking?
There are great mtn. biking trails near Morrison and if you need it closer to Boulder, then try the top of Flagstaff Mountain. PM me if you need more details.
