GO SHARKS!!!

When the goalie lets in a 53 foot arking fluttering ranbow wrist shot, and it is not even a marked as a scoring chance . . . We will need a goalie to show up for the next few games or the sharks will be golf'in with the Wings and Avs!

I was about 20-30 feet behind Nabby and could not beleave it went in.

I was amazing how much that goal deflated the Sharks and the whole building in general.

Sharks, 0-5 in Conference Finals on home ice. I remember game 1 of the Conference Finals in 2004 against Calgary had the same feel as the game other night. The Sharks were sloppy and couldn't finish the few good chances they had. Poor execution, poor passing, and sloppy defense killed the sharks. Bad goaltending was the least of their worries.

I sincerely hope that I just finished watching Nabakov's last game as a Shark. I feel for Rob Blake he played his heart out and Doug Wilson, you need to kiss Marleau's butt so he'll resign.

Despite the poor result, I firmly believe they have shed the "choker" status. That was the closest 4-0 sweep that I have ever seen (and probably will ever see). It could have easily been 2-2 after today. All respect due to Chicago, they made it happen when it mattered.

Predictions:
Pavelski gets signed for something like 4.5 million per year, maybe 4-5 years.
Seto gets signed for something close to 2 million for 1 year.
Nabby is gone unless he signs for under 3 million. Seeing how it's probably his last contract, I don't expect him to take the pay cut nor do I expect to see him in SJ next year.
Blake is also gone unless he signs for less than 1.5 million.
Pray that Marleau stays - that's gonna be a tough 40 goals to make-up. $$$ won't be the issue, it will be how important the organization makes him feel. The org made him the scapegoat for so many past failures that I wouldn't blame him for leaving. I say 50/50 that Marleau leaves for another west-coast team.
Wallin is gone, Huskins is gone, Leach is probably gone, wouldn't be surprised to see Clowe traded for some depth defensman or a package with Seto for a decent d-man.

Edit: they won't fire DW or blow-up the team but they will retool it.

I wasn't impressed with Huskins until the play offs. He did OK. I could see Seto and Mitchell to Boston for Thomas. If Nabakov wants to stay he should pay the Sharks. Too bad we have to make the decision on whether to renew the tickets without knowing if he is sticking around. I have been a season tix holder since the Cow Palace, tonight's dinner conversation was all renewal discussion.

Nabby MUST GO!
He lost 3 of the 4 games by himself, weak goals can't go in as easy as that in the post season! Up 2 to 0 and he lets in two soft goals!

Marleau's price is going to be very high, 44 goals this year, with 8 in the post season and some great goals at that, game winners and that OT goal. He is unrestricted but the only thing that we have going for us is his wife is from here, and her family calls the bay area home, he might not want to move his kid away from her home town. Even if he does not want to go, he still might be too much for our cap.
