GO SHARKS!!!

That penalty was a joke. Who the hell calls high sticking during a face off when everyone is lifting sticks and fighting for the puck?:looney:

A joke?

He was hit in the face with a stick, no question about it and a very simple call to make.

. . . continues to deliver.

I don't know what you are talking about?

Not a big hockey fan?

Do you understand why the sharks called the Time out in OT?

Did you not see the sharks coach red faced and yelling at the refs after the colorado icing call and the Ice Crew came out to "fix" the ice?

The Hockey Gods don't like shenanigans like that, in that video you can see the Ice Crew comming off the ice just before the sharks goal.

Ahh ok. I was at the game and wasn't paying attention to the SJ coach during the timeout. I was praying that we would finally get someone infront of the net for a deflection or screen.

Nope you are clearly missing the point, it was not a time out, and you don't understand the rules of the game very well.

It was the big turning point in OT, and the bad call gave the sharks anger that turned to energy and it was why they won the game.

So was it or was it not a timeout?

I get it! Colorado iced the puck and instead of getting fresh legs on the ice( becuase we iced it and cant change lines) SJ was mad that the ice crew came out in turn letting the AVS rest, and therefore the Sharks got pissed and won the game.

Typical rookie maneuver from a city that believes the NHL began in 1995.

That type of crap has no place in playoff hockey. Period.

It's just too bad the Colorado Ice Crew pulled that lame stunt, it is clear it pissed off the hockey gods, and cost them the game.

I have watched this so many times now, got to love the Avs fan behind the net that just puts his face in his hands:

I love that!!!!!

I like the Colorada / VS. feed. You can hear the Sharks yelling and cheering. You can't tell me those boys didn't want this game.

Baseball? In a Hockey thread....

Ancient history. Denver got the Scouts from KC in 1976. The big red C in a blue background always reminded me of the BDSM rainbow flag. Those boys became the Devils until enough $$$ was brought to Colorado by California expats to steal a team from Canada. yep know all about it. See plenty of us in Northern California watched the San Francisco Seals from the WHL join the 1st expansion of the NHL in the mid-sixties. The Cow Palace was rockin then too.

Back to the series...

I actually thought that the rink rats coming out to 'fix' the ice was a smooth move by Pepsi Center management. Rotten, but a smooth move just the same. The linesman resetting the Avs net on the pegs showed that a plenty of snow was left on the ice and it was just another form of treachery by a desperate foe.

My beard still itches, but in a good way.

GO SHARKS!

What about the Oakland Seals?

Per league rules, no TV timeouts in overtime.

Although Kroenke owns the Team, Pepsi Center, and the TV Network that was the original feed for Versus. Think about it. There was an icing, stoppage of play, Altitude cuts to commercial, rink crew jumps on, delays game more than 18 seconds.

Also during the regular season, no TV timeouts after an icing.

The refs called the ice crew onto the ice. Haven't heard anything about it from the news outlets.
