Gilmer July 13-15

I'll give it a shot to find a trailer by then, and the time off. I've been dieing to get out, and I suppose Gilmer wouldn't be so bad if a few XJ's head out there.

we're planning on being there (The wife and I in our two jeeps) that weekend and Kendrick should be there too, we gotta break that thing in.

Maybe this time we can actually ride some trails with you instead of just waving as we pass by.

I'm looking to be there. See what happens when time gets closer. My girlfriend, Lauren, and I are in Las Vegas right now. In Fact, I met Pamela Anderson a few hours ago!!!!!!!!! I know crazy right! Have pics and autograph to prove it.

We'll see what happens. I'm def going to Gilmer or Shiloh Ridge around that time period!

just for the note,i will be mainly running 3s and 4s rated trails....she only sits on 33s but she is built out....i dont wish to be pulling jeeps broke on the trails all day...so just for thought there might need to be 2 groups...i am sure more will want to show when the dates get closer...any ideas any one??

Katy and my brother in law are only on 31's but they should be ok, they're locked up front and rear and on Swampers. I'll want to be running the 3's and 4's as well, and my wife will not let me "run with the big boys" without her. Of course she did a lvl 4 & 5 in Hot springs with the swaybars still connected.

sounds to me group 1 is getting damn good offers....iam heading out there tomorrow, sat 6/8 if any one is close by there...getting spare fixed for trailer from last run there....3s and 4s only ladys...kids and dawgs are welcomed...i well have 2 and 1 with me....but be forwarned.....i like to wheel and take action pics....

Telling bossman tomorrow I need the 15th off, might head over saturday evening if i'm back from dallas in time.

I might make this Gilmer Trip, not sure yet. XJ Needs a Steering Box and some other things, as well as working on the '85 XJ. Lauren, my girlfriend, just bought the '85 XJ 2 weeks ago. We've been working on it since. We just moved to Texas from Jersey in April 2007 and finally settled in. Plan to have full time jobs by then so I'm not sure what's going to be going on. I know my local jeep club have plans to hit Gilmer July 21-22. Basically, I'm not sure what's going to happen with me. I'll know more when time comes closer.

Looks like we'll have a good little turnout.

Last I heard we were looking at approximately 17 confirmed, so yeah, it should be a blast!

I'll be going with some friends on the 14th only and I really can't afford to tear my junk up right now so I will be taking it easy, but I'll say hi if I see y'all. This will be all of our first time there, so we'll be the noob's in the way!:moon: You can't miss my rig, it's flat black w/4 half doors. I will be about the only XJ in our group.

Quick question: Is anyone planning to bring kids? I'm considering bringing my 11 year old and 4 year old if there will be other kids out there, but if it's an adults-only run I'll leave em at home.

Kody would enjoy it, but the little one.......

Too bad you can't seperate em for a weekend.

I figured with all the stopping and getting out she'd enjoy it. I could probably manage to get just him for the weekend, though.

On an un-related note, I reached out to BMRA to check on trail conditions on Friday. They said they were pretty messy with all the rain, but with 2 - 3 days of sunshine and a decent breeze that they should be fine. According to weather.com, Gilmer got three days with no rain this weekend, though the sun was a bit scarce. Hopefully we can make it a few more days without too much rain so the trails are passable, if a bit messy.
