Getting a soaker

Wow a tonn of replys.....

Thanks for all the info on the water proofing, marine equipment may be the way I have to go, I will just wait and see for now as my funds are a little low, so I will try to make the air intake better so it does not suck the water into the motor, and the rest of the Jeep will have to rely on the door seals keeping my feet dry....

no problems on the thread info....hope I can help one day too.....

I was talking to a Chrysler Tech today and he said the best thing for protecting the engine getting inside your water is to silicon your distrubutor by taking it out getting a seal and siliconing 2 bases and then around the inside of the cap, so that no water get in....Is this right? or am I missing something from this suggestion?

I heard that one works great, I guess it depends how long something is under the water for....For the most part I am planning on 6 inches of water for the inside and the rest I will plan on making the intake high as possible, engines with water suck and do not work too well.

Good luck buddy you will need it, if you decide to go down and wheel in the Niagara area!, if you want to go give me a shout, you can go first......I will follow ya...lol
