the pinion is too shallow, but not by much (.002-.005)

if you shim the pinion into the ring gear just a fuzz, you will tighten the backlash a bit too.

never trust a southerner. Everything looks good to them. Even fat chicks.

Okay, second try (well, second set of pictures anyway). The backlash is now at about 0.006.

I couldn't get my pictures to come out as well this time for some reason, so I hope these are good enough:
