Did you have to go through the usual Ford BS? Was it made before or after April 19? Was it made in the afternoon or morning?

Every time I have bought a part for one of those POSs there are three different ones for each year!

The ford in the back yard is workin your wallet huh

Well the thing is.... I need 2 of those fawkin' things.... so that'd be $180 for the simple fix.

Looks like I'll just head to the salvage yard and snatch up some earlier model spindles, bearing hubs and manual locking hubs and call it done - can't imagine I'd have to pay more than $80 for all that.......

No way, I love my fords but I still wouldn't pay that. I have one you can have though I'll give you a call in a while just so I know you up.

Thanks David. However, I spotted a clean set of manual hubs at Colo Auto Salvage yesterday - just didn't have all the nec. tools to get 'em then, so I'm off to go snag everything from the bearings out to swap into this rig. I'm not trusting those auto hubs now. All I need is to have those spring clips shear off again.....

Awrite - a fairly good day. I snagged those manual hubs and pieces needed to swap, got the busted brake line from another truck, installed new rotors and calipers, and now the POS is ready for a brake bleed.......

Tomorrow I drive it!

I must say ive always been a chevy guy, but since I couldnt afford a duramax and had to get a stroke its treated me very well!

Yeah, and it doesn't hurt that Super Dave and his wealth of blue oval knowledge is your buddy! I tell ya, he's been a HUGE help to me with this '93.

Yea he helps me a ton and I wouldnt have a jeep if he hadnt got me started! Id probably still be dickin around with the crappy little samurai that I had... But that bronco turned out to be the car from hell! We ended up taking it to my house with no front suspension on a trailer and doing the lift with it still on the trailer in my shop and it should finally be done today!

Another reason:

Why do I need to go to 3 different parts stores just to get the crap I need to do a simple project on this damn thing?!?!?!

Getting real sick and tired of hearing "We don't stock that" or "that's a dealer item only".

How many millions of these damn trucks have been made and they don't stock parts for 'em?!?!?!

$29 for a fawkin fuel filter...... $48 at the dealer! Jeezus!
