Cheapest I've seen here is $1.69 for regular near my office in Ballantyne, but around my house the gas stations are anywhere from $1.73-$1.83. And to think 5 years ago you could get gas for about $.99 per gallon here in Charlotte. :bawl:

3 weeks ago was $1.59 then wnet to $1.65 then $1.69 and Last Friday went to $1.75 as of last night it was $1.85 on oneside of town and still $1.75 on the other....Talked with on owner and he said would hit $2.00 befor eth eend of the month and he had no clue really why it was going up...

$1.63 here in Hampton Virginia (on Base)

reg unleaded, $1.87 to $2.07 per gallon. normally its just a cent or two difference. But it normally does go up around Memorial Day. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Man, and I thought our gas prices were high!!!! If it doesn't go back down, then I might have to dump my 1 ton Ford v10 that get a whopping 13 miles per gallon, and get a rice burner that will pull 30 or 40 per gallon.

$2.19 a gallon for regular unleaded. This is crazy. Long term we the United States need to start drilling for our own oil. Short term we need to start threatening to produce less food. Why because we are the worlds largest food producing country ,and we can turn the screws so to speak by cutting back our production of food. If we do this the whole world will tell those OPEC countries to keep pumping oil at the rate they used to.

$1.73 here in Charlotte, NC
But by comparison to the w.coast: :yelclap:

$1.75-1.79 in Western Jersey - about a dime more across the Delaware in Pennsy. Was $1.60 around here a couple of weeks ago. But, ours is cheaper even though we have no self-serve!

Crap Shannon where did you pay that?!?

$2.19-$2.35 depending where you're at in Socal.

i paid $1.73 at the BP yesterday here in Atlanta.:flamemad: Sounds like it could be a lot worse though.

I paid $1.88 this morning here in Tulsa, Okla.
DIG IT!

$1.77 Down in TX yesterday, but its probably gone up again today. Time to head to houston and hit up a few of the 2 million gallon Texaco storage tanks.

Regular's $1.75 9/10 a gallon at the cheapest stations I've seen around here in North AL; it's got me on the bike (35-40 MPG) for any driving that doesn't require hauling something. I'm trying to get an old (1979) Dodge Colt running to drive on the rainy days instead of having to deal with a rain suit. With a 1.4L engine & twin-stick tranny (eight speed!), it'll get between 30 - 40 MPG if running right & tuned for economy. Good thing, since the only thing that's gonna make the prices come down is less usage; inventories sitting in tanks getting stale will drop prices quicker than anything! Even if my efforts to cut usage don't drop prices for us all any time soon, at least it's not cutting into the food budget as badly as it would be...

just went up this mornin again, now @ $1.85-reg, $1.95-midgrade, $2.15-hi test... soon im just gonna have to knock over the tanker truck....

Scheist...paid $1.92 today for 85 octane...that was one of the cheaper spots locally too, at least until I filled up. Murphy's Law states that as soon as I filled up I'd find it cheaper, but even that was only $1.89/gallon so I would have saved a whopping $0.36...
