Garage get-together Saturday Dec. 5th

Thought I posted this last night... try again. Is 9am too early for chili or queso dip? If not let me know which one to bring :lickout: Also anything else we may need to help work? gloves/safety glasses? Looking forward to meeting more of ya! :wave1:

I'm partial to some good chili.....but would not say no to queso....I never had chili over Fritos until I lived in the south....yummy!
Whatchya gonna drive over?? maybe the 'benz....bet ya it makes a good parts runner:wave:
Oh, and I've located a Krispy Kreme on my way over....so we can simmer the chili/queso for awhile...let the flavor grow:party: I dunno...KK dipped into queso....hmmmm

Krispy Kreem, Queso, and Pizza. We should be able to work for 30 hours straight with that kind of wholesome food!

You guys dress warm, its gonna be a cold mofo tomorrow. I am out of propane for the firebowl, but may get more...

James dose some really nice work! Im very impressed. It was well worth the drive. Im going to go to bed... Ive been up 48 hours with a 20 min nap, im pooped!

Anyone else's back hurt? I'm having trouble standing up straight.....hmmm:eyes:
I think it was all that overhead work....:twak:

My whole body hurts... And I am pretty sure I inhaled about 2 pounds of grinding dust. wearing the respirator next time. Its one thing to do a little grinding, but when half the day is spent doing it, its time to take a little care.

Glad we got it done, the thicker sheetmetal slowed me down, but I think it turned out pretty good. Get her painted up!

So you still had the oil pressure issue on the way home? Was hoping the filter fixed it...

Yeh me too! The respirator is a good idea...when I'm doing that kinds stuff, I've got a full face shield and a respirator:eyes:

What a bunch of wussies! I don't even wear safety goggles or gloves 99% of the time. I have paid for it a few times though. I got something in my right eye one time, and I thought it was gonna swell shut. Hurt pretty bad too. I need to be safer, it would be hard for me to provide the awesome fab work with only one eye or a missing finger. Lol, I've heard its hard to see straight with one eye, sure would make it a lot harder for me with all the eyeballing I do when I do cage work. :eyes: LOL. Just kidding. It would make reading a tape measure, angle finder, and dial indicator a lot more difficult though.

Ive been to the ER twice. Once for a hot steel chip from a lathe, and another for a grinder that got bound up in a part both while working at my dads shop. Not fun stuff, so I try to be as careful as possible although its easy to get lazy.

One thing changed the way I work, an exploding wire wheel I was VERY lucky that I still had vision in the eye that took a 1" bristle right into the middle of it then I blinked and my eye lid got hung up on it. That night sucked but I can still see and still have 20/15 vision. Gloves I'll forget and burn or cut myself, but now I will always stop and find my safety glasses!
:lecture:

There where a few times that day that stump got a surprise from a cut off wheel and promptly "found" his glasses :scared:
