What is the purpose of the many plugged holes on the floor pans? What is the world is the purpose for so much access?

To me they seem likely to be for some in-process manufacturing/assembly purpose that adds zero value to the owners. Yet MOPAR licensed pans carry on with these big rust traps.

The holes are/were for indexing the panel sections in the welding jigs, and for drainage. Don't forget that the entire bare unibody was submerged in primer paint as the first step of the paint process.

Every spring I go to the self service $3 for 3 minutes squirt car wash and spend a few cycles washing the frame rails and doors out with hot soapy water. Rinse and hot wax is not necessary.
