This would be good. Lots of basics Electrical questions in the tech forums. I could assist in this. 4 years Navy electrician, two civilian and working on my own cars for the last 20 years.

Just need to know several weeks in advance to take the weekend off.

I thought about a body work seminar. I could show how to pull a dent, bondo, and paint. The subject of the teaching would have to bring the beer.

I know im the new guy but im trying to sell my 01XJ and it has some body damage, actual trail damage that needs to be repaired. Its relatively minor, where the rear quarter meets the drivers taillight its dented in and a little scraped up. Seems to be a common prob for xjs. Id be more than happy to bring any kind/amount of beer to get that fixed! As long as the Jeep doesnt sell first.

I'm not sure how many this would really relate to, but I would be down for a more "hardcore" if you will tech session sometime, even if it's not very many people. Something along the lines of "what to do if you if you stall out during a water crossing" :D, "what to do after you flop/roll to not kill your engine when you restart it." Also possibly have some suspension/link tech, designing a cage, etc., etc.

can someone remind me of the name of terry's shop where we had the first tech seminar?

thanks.

thanks... not sure what is up w/ that.
i guess my membership lapsed (renewed now), so looks like my PMs are in limbo-- the inbox and sent box are both at 0, but the total is 278, so not sure where those messages are??

anyway, i'll try to PM terry.

I'd love to see a tech sem on doing gears/regearing, and locker installs.
I think that would be benificial to alot of people.
x2 on the welding 101. and rocker rails...

I'd be interested in seeing something on ball joint replacement and tie rods. I would definitely be willing to use my vehicle for this one.

That is one of those shade tree simple type of projects, good fodder for a wrenchin party. It is nice to have someone with experience backing you up. Every now and again you get that one chunk of iron that out-smarts ya for a moment.
