Whats the little gravyboat light for on the dash? It comes on and of on corners?

gravyboat light? Are you talking about the oil light? Maybe it looks like a oil can or a geenie in a bottle? It means your XJ wants to hear Christina Aguilera.

All kidding aside, sounds like your oil pressure light. What year is your XJ? You should verify oil pressure and check your oil level.

If I'm picturing it right, it is the oil pressure lamp. You are probably low on oil which explains why it is coming on when you go around corners as the oil is moving away from the pump.

I'm still laughing at that.....reminds me of my days working at Boston Market. Does the manual say anything about gravy levels? Where does the meat thermometer go in the XJ?

Not a good question to be asking on this forum!

It means you are running low on 710, which is only sold at 24 hour convenience stores with green and white signs

It means you need more NAAAWWWWSSS

I'd have to go with low oil, or even a funky sender (although that wouldn't change just going around corners) or some weird electrical glitch. Check your oil level and check to see if your sender wiring is solid.

...your oil pick-up could also be clogged up with mashed potatoes (sorry, couldn't help it!).

just make sure you get the right kind of gravy. XJ's need the nutrients found in brown gravy. White gravy will wear way too fast and you'll be changing it within 500 miles.
