Full width or narrowed?

I do have a set of Crown Vic brakes in the garage (all brand new components)
Any difference I should know about?

the passenger caliper is probably going to be in front of the axle.

Since I'm using Crown Vic brakes and not Explorer I'll check the set up before ordering those.

You will need to have them on the axle shaft before pressing the bearings on and you'll probably need them for the crown vic set up.

Keep in mind once the bearing is pressed on, you really can't pull them off to add the spacers later without buying new set 20 bearings.

So, these spacers move the bearings further out on the flange?
Okay, I'm confused (the rear 60 makes very little sense to me at times...)
If they are located on the axle shaft, and not the housing, what...

Okay damn it, explain yourself (with pictures, or at least legible drawings.)

You are a dumb ass.........call me.

This from a guy who pays other people to do his work....
:sure:

Welding? Hell yes. Troy does great work!

You can't even JB Weld anything correctly :D

I GOT THE CARRIER OUT!!

Soon as the Torino ends show (the ones I had were the wrong size) I start to weld!

Okay, who is going to show me how to set up the R&P?

The new ends showed up while I was over at John's setting up the R&P.
But.....the new ones don't fit either.
Could I have ended up with some small tubed 60?
The BOM #'s would have indicated a 3.5" axle tube, but...
I'm assuming that the Torino ends would either be a press fit or at least a slip fit on the axle tubes. Neither of the ends I have received do that.
Are they supposed to be butt welded? That just doesn't seem right....

I don't know jack about the Torino ends, but butt welding spindles on is pretty common. Reputable shops will butt weld the spindles when narrowing a rear axle; Dean Reed did mine that way. A special jig is a necessity as far as I know.

Currie can weld those ends on for you and they butt weld axle ends on all the time. .!. :D .!.
