Yes yet another one-ton build, I'm hoping for this to be a little different but in the end it's always that there big heavy and climbs lots of rocks right? :D

What I have now... Wheeled her for 6 years

This setup worked great for me for a long time running, however a few things have been a constant headache;

1.) It was way to high for my liking
2.) Non selectable lockers left my steering something to desire
3.) Crappy radius arm suspension + stock polished axles
4.) Needing a much deeper crawl ratio

So bye bye to the krawlers :( they were good friends

And goodbye stock running gear

After a lot of thinking, planning, and saving I have this build plan

Axles:
Front
89 KP HP 60 with PSC full hydro
5:13's w/ARB
35 spline outers W/flanges (Alloys in the future)
What I'm starting with....

Rear
Sterling 10.25 I know people are going to instantly ask WHAT?! why not the 14 bolt!!!! Well price of this 10.25 and I have spares for everything and I wanted to be a little different.

5:13's w/ARB and cutting brakes
Yukon alloys w/disks

Tire of choice is going to be 42x15R16.5 Pitbull Rockers on stock H1's

The rims are 24 bucks ea I really got to give them a shot and if need be I will recenter them but I'd rather not so I can try and keep this as narrow as possible on full widths

other plans include
D&D Machine Box4Rocks np231&D300 doubler
Front 3 link with 2.25x.250 DOM lowers and a 1.50x.250 DOM upper adding 4 inches of stretch I want to try and stick with coils but if I get some extra dough I'll be doing FOA 2.5 18" coilovers

for the rear I want to TRY keep the leafs in the rear to save some money, and stretch the rear about 5.

(More pics to come)

those sterlings are great axles.... i think youll be really happy with the choice
x2

a buddy of mine runs his in the back of his buggy with rear steer. it holds up great!

Seriously Doug? (hard to determine internet sarcasm) Because I figured with 35spline alloys it should be good. The only downside is there's not alot of aftermarket support for them. But with a rear axle how much do you really need?

Haven't got alot of work done since I have to wait for my truck to get out of the autobody shop. :( but heres some eye candy anyway.

Like in my list I'm going with the 42x15R16.5 Pitbull Rockers. My first impressions of these tires is that these things a awesome! Really big and soft lugs make me think I'm going to have alot of fun with these :D

And put my ballistic rock ring's on my H1's last night as well. I went with the black and silver combo

Other than that I've been stripping my axles down (not all that exciting so no pics) and still trying to decide either coilovers or just stick to coils in the front... the difference is about 300 bucks more for a setup with the coilovers and it would allow me to lengthen my trac bar considerably due to lack of coil buckets so maybe that is the right way to go but I'll figure that out this week.

The H1's will clear the font (bairly) but will hit the rear leaf springs. You could probalby inboard the the leafs on the frame but it may not be enough. I recentered mine BC I really did not have a choice.
