Well, with the baby on the way, and taking some tiime off when he's due(some of it unpaid), I've decided to sell afterall, no regrets. I just don't have the time or want to keep putting money into this Jeep for now.
$5750 no trades or parting out
1999 Jeep XJ automatic AW4 with 4.0
94,800 miles---it's off because I had it regeared to 4.56 in January of '06 but never changed the speedo gear. I would put it at a real world 91k miles, but that is a guess.
4.56 gears
Lockrite in front-January of 06
Powertrax in back-January of 06
High Pinion D30
Chrysler 8.25 (29 spline)
6" Full Traction long arm lift --summer of 04
35" Goodyear MTR's --summer of 04 I have one as a spare but all have seen trail and road use. Tires are of various condition. Some have fine line cuts in them, some have a few chunks out. Also some wear from the steering being off, but you'd have to see for youself to make a judgement.
AR767 black rims that the tires are on.
SYE with High Angle Driveline rear driveshaft. It was rebuilt by a driveline shop in the summer of 2007. New ujoints installed, balanced, painted.
Rear hitch with towhook in the receiver
Front towhooks and brackets
CB
Optima red-top battery-Summer 07
NEW catalytic converter Fall 07--due to theft of the cat while parked in Indy!!!
NEW muffler Fall 07 -replaced the rotting stock one.
NEW Currie steering setup and Old Man Emu steering stablizer.
I installed this after I thought I'd get back into wheeling. NEEDS ALIGNED AND ADJUSTED MORE. I gave up on it since I'm selling it. Don't want to mess with it anymore.
Rocky Road Outfitters rock rails-have some rust and I spray paint them periodically but definitely paint peeling off.
MISC I will throw in--
Spare 8.25 shaft
Spare D30 Stub and I THINK I have the longer shaft too.
Used/junk bearing assembly to get on off the trail(not for permanent use!)
The old stock steering from when I replaced it with the Currie setup.
Barely used Hi-Lift
All my unused diff fluid of various weights
Towstrap in excellent condition
I have wheeled this in-Rockport, TurkeyBay(LBL), Badlands, Haspen and Redbird
Areas I want to bring up--leaky steering box. Weeps with occasionaly dripping to ground, but doesn't run dry. Will need replaced. Leaking again.
A "clunk" when turning slow lock to lock at the end of the turn. I think it's the steering box, but might be wrong.
Front passenger door has a cave in. It has a Lexan/plastic window. Damage from a trip to Turkey Bay a couple of years ago! You will see in pics.
Manifold leak, famous on the 4.0's. Exhaust sounds a little raspy from stock.
NO ENGINE LIGHTS or CODES EVER THROWN in the time I've owned it since 04.
That's all I can think of for now. Please email me at--

I will be happy to answer any questions and I've listed any known problems that I'm aware of.
Thank you,
Bill
