The time has come. The War Wagon is up for sale. So here's the scoop.
1989 Jeep Cherokee. 4.0l Renix, AW4/242. 224,xxx miles.
Front diff: d30 3.55 gears, open
Rear: ChryCo 8.25 29 spline, trac loc w/3.55 gears
Tires: BFG 31x10.5x15 ATs w/AR Outlaw II wheels painted black.
The front and rear bumpers are homebrew, but have stood up the test of time. It also has a homebuilt roof rack that is sturdier than hell. It has a 3" ProComp lift, with RE 3.5" leaf springs. It is registered until the end of July this year. Last summer, I also threw on the LeBaron hood vents. The biggest negatives are; no headliner(i took it off to replace it), and it does have a blown head gasket. I believe she needs a new cat too, but I'm not 100% certain.
In the last few months, I have replaced:
Radiator
Water Pump
Starter
Power Steering pump and steering box
Complete steering column
Replaced old t-case with rebuilt 242
I really don't know what to ask for it, so I'll just say $1,500 obo.
It also comes with a spare hood, already cut(correctly) for the lebaron vents. When I get home, I'll find some pictures to put up.
