front end skid plate- pros/cons ?

--well i dont have a front skid .. BUT i do have the JKS "quicker" sway bar disconects and the only way to mount the holding pins for the sway bar links after disconecting them is to have a factory front skid. so theres my problem .. i dont really feel like i need the skid but i also think it looks redneck using bungee cords to hold the sway bar in place when off-roading.
--i wouldnt go out of your way to get a front skid, in my opinion they are pretty much useless . unless you have the JKS disconnects and want to make it look right ..
--i would scratch the skid idea and when your ready to buy disconnects ..... do not get the JKS ones .. sorry to say it but there is it . over all they are good disconnects , they just need to work on the holding pin set-up ( so you dont have to have a front skid).
