This is the whole point behind an SYE. You get rid of the slip yoke that the stock shaft uses to connect to the rear of the transfercase and replace it with a fixed yoke that you can bolt a CV shaft up to. (like the stock front shaft) And Dustin you do have the correct combination to be able to run the front shaft in the rear, namely: 6cyl Auto np231 and chy 8.25.
