front coil installation ...help

im about to install 3 inch skyjacker front coils on my 98 xj this week. my question is can i just disconnect shocks, use a spring compressor on the oem coils and simply remove them from the xj and then reverse the procedure for new springs by compressing them first and placing them into place without having to disconnect trac arm, pitman arm control arms etc????

all you need to do is remove the shock .jack up the opposite side you want to remove.undo spring retainer and remove .if you do it correctly you shouldn't need a spring compressor.if you have enough to move the spring up and down on the post swing out the lower end and slide it down the post .reverse for putting them back.
