anybody have specs/ measurements for one like this?

Why not just design your own. If you have the skills to fab it you should have the skills to design it perfectly to your needs.

protofab4x4.com they have some nice xj setups... dunno about getting specs though

Measure the front of your vehicle and where you want the bumper to sit and it really just falls together. If you have to ask these types of questions you should probably just tell a fabricator what you want and have them build it.

(I bet I get another complaint for that reply...)

i did measure that i just dont know how far it needs to stick out for the winch and i dont know where to put the bumper mounts

Buy some pre-made bumper plates like these.

Once you have those bolted up you can just build off of that. If you need measurements for the whinch then you just need to break out a tape and go town.

I could get you some bumper mounts like what I have that have captured holes for 1.75" tube if you like just pm me. You would need to get a depth measurement on your whinch first and I can tell you if the mounts would work.

Here is what I have.

Looking to buy a winch bumper for my rig. My concern is approach angle. Right now some of the trails we run I would not make if I had anything more than the stock bumper I have now. I have it cut on each side at 45* which gives great approach but leaves my corners exposed to rock damage.
So what I am looking for: A winch bumper that does not stick out too far in front of the rig, tapers up to each corner of the rig, protects marker lights but doesn't extend out beyond width of rig, has strong mounting to chassis, recovery points, and has a price point of $500 or less. I know I should just have someone build what I want, but was curious if one was out on the market. I have searched and looked at a ton of bumpers, but sometimes there are obscure builders that may not be as known that build a great product.
Input apprechiated.

You could just PM Frank Z and ask him how much he would ship one for. That's his rig and he builds those bumpers and tube flares.

Contact Frank Z, he has exactly what you're looking for.
