Forum Lag

Curious if it's on my end. Usually between 12:00am and 2:00am PST, the forum is basically inaccessible.

I remember the server usually backs up around this time, but for two hours? Seems like it just started happening this week.

I have also noticed the length of time it's down, seems to be increasing.

yeah ive noticed this too. usually lets me know its time to go to bed....

Same... it was moved forward to the time it is at because many people complained when it was earlier in the evening.

I figure if I am still awake when the forum starts lagging, it means I should be asleep.

If I remember it used to update around 11:00pm PST. Everyone complained so then it was bumped to 1:00am(?) PST. It wasn't a big deal since it usually only lasted 15 minutes or so.

Now the problem is it usually goes down (can't load anything) just after 12:00am PST. It usually doesn't come back up until almost 2:00am. That's almost two hours of down time where the forum isn't even accessible. Something doesn't seem right to me?

Meanwhile I can load other sites just fine.

I have noticed it too. Later at night and longer than usual. It isn't up to really, it is the hosting site that determines when, why, and how long the updates last.

runs on dedicated hardware. The only time that the ISP accesses it is when the server staff requests it.

The packet drop issue does seem to be returning, though.
