I stumbled across these pistons for cheap on ebay:

They have a 3.875 bore though I can't seem to find pin dimensions and heighth. There seems to be a lot of pistons in 250 engines of different builds that are of this exact build. Check this list:

It doesn't seem impossible that there would be a piston in STD, 30, or 60 over that would be forged and be of the right height to run the favorable 4.0 rod.
I may be speaking out against research thats already been covered here, but I'm just checking.
