i think everyone is forgetting the point on the raptor. it's not just an f150 with an lt on it. the whole truck itself is wider than a regular f1 and it has a different front end than a regular f1. the truck carries a warranty and you can finance it. not everyone has 65k on hand to drop on a truck. this topic has been beaten to death over on dr and race dezert. bottom line is that ford made something really special for the offroad community and i give them props for that. i would buy one in a heart beat if i had the income. so all the haters can hate.

Its a 65k truck, that doesnt really do anything GREAT...
A 65k built f150 would handle offroad MUCH, MUCH BETTER,
A 65K lincoln blackwood would be MUCH, MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE...

No hating here, nor am i on its nuts either. It is what it is... 60 grand.... It must be nice to be able to mash a 65k truck.... but thats just not gonna happen for me. If i had 60k to spend, it wouldnt be on a raptor. That doesnt mean im 'hating'.

the bottom line is this truck is marketed to people who have expendable incomeand don't know any better, just like the guys that spend 60 70 even 80-100k on a sports car and never take it above 80mph on the freeway even though it's built to spend it's life above 8k RPMs on a track.

it's all about making money.

Exactly, just like all the people dropping big money on big Mercedes, BMWs and Porsches; Cars designed for the european freeways with mostly no speed limits, to park them on the 405.LOL :roflmao::moon:
