Maybe I'm alittle confused on the preloading. If you'll help me understand it better that'd be great.
Now from what I understand with the crush sleeve you set up pinion depth. Then tighten the nut to 175+ ftlbs or until the sleeve crushes. Then tighten to the correct preload.
So is that part correct?
If it is that leads me to wonder about how the shims effect the preload with the solid spacer. An explination on that would be great.
