I've replaced this bike with something newer so it needs a new home.
Up for sale is my 1999 YZ400F.
$1500 or best offer.
This bike rips. I am the second owner and have owned the bike for nearly two years, I have been meticulous with its maintenance.
Oil changes (Yamalube only)and Air Filter cleaned every third ride. Chain Lube every ride.

The Great:
I just finished a full top end rebuild with high performance parts and it runs fantastic:
Valves have just been shimmed.
Cylinder honed and inspected.
Brand new 12.5:1 Wiseco High Performance Piston and Rings.

Brand new Cometic Gasket kit.
Brand New NGK Spark Plug
Brand New coolant.
New cooling system O-rings throughout.
New Oil.
Water pump cleaned and inspected.
Clutch removed, inspected and adjusted.
Brand new Maxxis rear tire, front tire has about 3 rides on it.
New Chain, both sprockets, chain guard and slider have 6 rides on them (13, 48 or 49).
Seat has flawless upholstery.
Pro-Taper Pillow Top grips and grip donuts.
Rebuilt radiators.
Currently registered until September.
Includes:
14 tooth front sprocket
IMS 3.2 Gallon desert tank (cost $260)
Stock Tank.
Tusk D-Flex Hand Guards. (cost $45)
Trail Tech Kickstand (cost $128)
Yamaha cross bar pad. ($12)
FMF slip on exhaust. ($300)
Aluminum aftermarket rear brake master cylinder guard
-------------------------------
$755 in aftermarket extras.
Plastics are a little rough and the front rim has a few dings. But for $100 I will install brand new plastics on the bike for you.
With a full price offer I will also include a complete spare rear wheel (with brake rotor and sprocket).

I have ran over 200 miles on one tank of gas so the desert tank really extends your range.
She is really quick, this bike was a monster when it first came out.
It routinely beats my friends 2007 Honda CRF450 in any drag race.
It has been extremely durable and fast. This should be an excellent value for anyone looking for a reliable bike at a great price.
Dirt Rider Magazine’s “98 Bike of the Year”. This AMA Championship winning 4-stroke, 5-valve, liquid-cooled, ultra-short-stroke bike has a serious wide torque band and instant throttle response. KYB suspension and Dunlop 739’s mean superb traction.
Dirt Bike Magazine called it the bike of the Decade

Ride Apart called it, "the most important dirt bike of the entire decade."

A neat article with specs about the bike.
