look into a futon mattress? Costs should be similar to what you're finding, and I would think you would get a longer life out of one?

toyed with the Futon idea, but the boys rarely actually sleep in our trailer, I usually kick them out into a tent. But, with the low in Leadville around 25 tonight, we figured we'd let them share the propane warmth of Mr. Heater with us... My wife picked up a 3" gel memory foam mattress topper at Costco for less than $100 yesterday, so hopefully it will fit the bill.

Saw a stack of 4" foam sheets at the Home Depot this afternoon for $20 each. Probably take two for the back of an XJ.
