When and where? Not that I don't ride every weekend but it's just another trip to look forward to. I vote Hale Mtn.

Re: Flog?

I am all for a park in Alabama to ride at for the Flog. I know Hale Mtn has been talked about along with Hawk Pride. I haven't been to either but both come highly recommended by 256offroad and family.

I hear the facilities are nice at Hale Mtn. We could also reserve the park just for us. And the couple likes to cook for guests....major plus.

Where do you guys want to go? It is usually the second weekend in November.

Re: Flog?

Hale Mt is on the "list". I'm game for it.

Re: Flog?

Hale Mountain sounds good to me. It will be nice to wheel within 100 miles of home.

Re: Flog?

I was going to sugest Callantee but I have heard that their fee structure has changed. :(

I'm also really liking Callantee. There is a good selection of trails and its pretty central to our region. We would have to check on their facilities, as of 3 years ago it wasn't very feasible to hold a large group.

Re: Flog?

Of course I'm all for hale mt. Lots of trails for little guys to big guys and its only 20 min from the house. Just let me know and ill talk to the owner. And anytime yall come down to hale ill be there. They have a brand new mens and womens shower built and lots of camping. And its not far from huntsvegas

Re: Flog?

Maybe. Considering I'll be able to get work done to/work on the MJ it's possible. But, I don't plan on smashing up the body of mine.

I would hope not..... mine is less valuable now. LMAO!

Re: Flog?

You listen to me and you better listen well. I am great at wheeling. I am probably the best wheeler you will ever encounter.

I'll vouch for him Flex. I wheeled with him at LBL. I have pictures (although most are poser shots) to prove it. We tore up those service roads!! I think he may have even gotten a tire up on a rock.

Go Alpha!

And before BA has a chance to rebutt, yes, I did get my wheel up on a rock for a poser pic too, and caught air with my right rear. And we have pictures to prove that too!

Re: Flog?

What kind of trails does Hale have?
Depends on how much rain we have had. Imho it changes after every downpour. I've gone when there's snow and ice everywhere and pulled lots of cable. And I've gone when its dry and played on all the trails. I've only wheeled my old jeep there(lockers and 35s) but I'm planning on hitting it up a lot more in my dd jeep. Ill report back on how it is.

Also ill let yall know when I'm planning on going(within a couple of weeks). The park is closed till mid august but I can let her know when I'm coming and she will open up for us.

Ed let me know some ideas and I will help you with the logistics anyway. For either park, hale mt or hawk pride.

I'd like to come down and scout out the park just to get a feel for it. MAybe we can plan that on an upcoming weekend when the weather looks to be good.

I went to the Hale Mtn website and it is a very concentrated park with lots of trails.

Re: Flog?

Sounds good!

Very concentraited. So from camp you can be on a trail in 30 second. Heck you can walk to most of the trails from camp.

Ed I'm gonna pm you my email and cell.

Re: Flog?
