Anyone flipped their rear leafs spring pack from the front to back for additional wheelbase?
Does it require new shackle hangers?
I already started cutting away the 1/4 panel and like to know what is all involed when doing this.

TIA!

just the gas tank is in the way..

You'll also have to fab some kind of upper shock hoop cause the factory ones wont line up with the axle no mo'.

Why are you stretching wheelbase?

This must be another "for looks" mod cause I can't see the benefit for trail use. A longer wheelbase will decrease your turning radius making tight trails a pain. Your rear d-shaft may be too short at full stuff, check it before you find out the hard way.

And please dont tell me you're doing this to fit bigger tires cause I stuff 38s into the factory wheelwell just fine.

I was looking into ways to add more angle to the rear shackles and flipping the leafs was one easy option. My drop 1.5" shackles currently sits about 90* and the drop is horrible with the RE leafs pack.
Stuffing tires is not an issue, the sawzall sovles that! ;)

Any other suggestion to improve the shackles angle to around 50*?

how would fliping the spring around change the shackle angle? it will be the same.

You're correct (brain fart). I was thinking of moving the front leafs mounts back some or the rear mounts forward.

I may still flip the leafs since I have the axle out right now.
