Reworked my crossmember and skidplate a couple months ago before the Dakota Territory Challenge. The original one was similar in shape but had been bent upwards about 1" from running it 6+ years. Also made a similar one for the t-case skid but got lazy with the bracing and it twisted and took out the 231 case. Version 2.0 shouldn't have that issue.
Started with 4340 plate, 3 section with 45 degree wings bent on the ends for the middle sections. The outer frame rail wrap around the stock rails which I also plated.
Bracing added, thin walled 4340 (been buyings scraps and cutoff's and had a nice pile built up that I used).
Painted the inside, added the dimpled top plate
Bolted them up and ran 4 days of wheeling. I'll have to grab a pic of them bolted up. Thought I had one somewhere but can't seem to find it.
