In the front I cut between 2 to 3 inches. Plus the pinch seam in the rear of the front fender has been cut and welded back so its all flat there. Any ways the front was the easy part; taped up the flare where I wanted it traced the inner lip and went to work with the cutoff wheel. Bolt on flare and its done. Well not that easy but close. You still have to trim it a little for the XJ body line at the bottom.
In the back it is cut a little over 3 inches probably, it is much more difficult. I basically have nothing left along the door and its cut a little higher behind the door. It is not very pretty in there but it works great. I can get some pics up for you guys later this afternoon, I'm at work right now. Plus the flares are back off for painting this weekend. Perfect for some detailed pics. I hope to have that all the painting done by sunday afternoon. Its been about two weeks since I drove it last. Prep work is a ____! (Fill in the Blank) But its ready to start spraying now.
I still have the pieces that I cut out of the front fender in the garage, I'm saving them so I can get pics to do a tech artical later on for some friends of mine down in Arkansas. I can post a pic of them also.
