First World Problems.

Waiting for parts?

I haven't even had either the money (last summer) or time (this summer) to do much running of my R/C's. The Telluride I built into a trail rig this summer has been more of a mall crawler (literally over the curbs at work, and that's it!) instead of seeing any actual rocks..........on the upside, I haven't gotten any discarded fishing line wrapped around the axles of any of my r/c rigs in a couple years!

i got to the point where i was willing to pay more at a hobby shop just so i wouldnt have to wait.. it was then i knew i had a problem ....and sold all my RCs... $$
meh, order in bulk, parts are cheap

in true first worlder fashion I ordered a straight from china 1/8th scale buggy. Soooo cheap.
It's actually turned out better than expected, but nothing takes a 30 mph hit to the front arm without damage.

So I ordered enough parts to rebuild the suspension twice. Like I said, cheap parts, so just order a bunch to avoid the wait in the future.

Lol, I hear that on wrecks at those speeds. We had a customer at the HobhyTown I work for that kept complaining about how fragile his 3.3 Revo was when hitting trees at speed (top speed is around 45mph on those) and hated the truck.........after a few timesnof listening to his whining, I kinda wanted to tell him to try that with the Acura RSX he was driving then talk to me about durability after he got out of the hospital..........

Sometimes when I switch between my Jeep and my DD, I mix up the shift patterns.

Thankfully I haven't tried to throw the Jeep into 6th on the highway, but I consistently get reverse wrong in both now.

Lol, I have that issue with the radio controls, light and wiper switches, and ignition switch between my XJ and 200. The 200's key goes into the dash and it has radio controls on the back side of the steering wheel, the light controls are on the column instead of the dash, and the wipers work in a different way, so I'm always trying to poke buttons that don't exist on the other vehicle, occasionally try to put keys into the wrong spots, reach for the wrong switches or just try to work the switches the wrong way.

Switching from truck to the jeep, imaginary shifter on the column.
I have been guilty of hitting the turn signal switch to go into reverse after driving the forklift at work as well...

I'm always trying to push in an imaginary clutch pedal in the wife's 01.

It usually takes me a few tries before I realize it's an auto and I can start it with no feet on the pedals.

stupid auto transmissions.

I had a past coworker discover his car key worked in the forklift. It was funny until he drove home with the forklift key in his ignition. Stupid Toyotas!

When I ran a lot of equipment I used to do the same thing.
I would get into my truck and put the turn signal on to back up.

I've done the same thing. Work trucks are column shift. On the XJ the right column stalk is for the wipers. I've turned the wipers on a time or two when trying to back out of the parking space after work. Then there is the no 3rd gear on the shifter in the ZJ.

Burnt my thumbs eating fried chicken that was too hot.

i was super hungry and ordered two double cheese burgers and two orders of fries and had to throw away half of the second burger because i got too full :(
