Went and picked up some new to me 33x10.50 bfg's today.:woohoo:

Just need to figure out which route to go with the lift, been bouncing back and forth for the whole week.

But the first step to the great jeep transformation has been taken!

Just needed to tell someone!

What options are you looking at?

Are you not interested in treadwright? $477 for new set. I looking for like 200 for a set with %50 left. I'm about to just say to hell with it and order a new set.

Ive got the money from selling my truck. I can't decide if I want to drop the money on a cage for my trail rig or put a small lift and some 31s on my STOCK dd.

Looking hard at the rc x series 4.5"

But for a few hundred more I could piece together an awesome 4.5 short arm...and around the same price is the iro longarm or rc long arms...The dpg kit is also in the picture if they have the RE parts in stock

Hopefully picking up a lock rite for the 8.25 this week

Just not sure what to do lift wise. Will be a daily driver for awhile, but having been a passenger for many years in a 5" shortarm cherokee I know the ride isn't unbearable

I need one of these to go off:idea:

Are you going to gear also or stay at 3.55?

I'd love some treadwright but they don't make 33

I rode around on 3-3.5 inches for a few yrs w/no issues. Then ran 5.5" on short arms for awhile...it was "bearable" but noticeably worse. Went w/drop brackets as a short term fix (there were like $100) until I can scape together the coin for long arms. I think 4.5" is a good height to start with. And if you can swing the long arms up front, I'd do it. You won't regret it!
Keep up posted:eyes:

Definitely gearing down to 4.10s maybe 4.56s, but that will be a few months from now...i'll be gutless to and from work but thinking it should wheel fine...

Thinking about pulling the trigger this week on the rc kit then doing the tnt longarms later in the year

Are you reading my mind? I've got to replace some badly sagged rear springs, then TnT belly pan...and when the coin arrives...TnT long Arms....:wave1:
And I'd definately suggest 4.56's...I ran 32's w/3.55's...it was tolearble on road, but got 12-13mpg...and don't forget about the extra stress you are putting on the Tranny...It's workable, but not a long term solution. If you intend 33's I'd go 4.56. I'm actually on 4.88's and 35's, and it's da bomb! I lucked into a match set D30/D44 already regeared and locked.:eyes:
