well finally got it started! 88 2.5tbi wrangler
make a long story short. after replacing cps, coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor and hard wiring cps to ecu i decided to take the ignition module to autozone. it tested bad, replaced it and it started right up, but has a high idle (2400-2600) and seems to be popping through the intake. had a real bad miss under load, but reved fine without.
read some archives and replaced the tps even though it tested fine, still had high idle.
ran some carb cleaner through with engine running. engine runs fine other than the high idle.
before the yj died on my buddy 6 months ago, it had a high idle.
if i disconnect the part with plugner that the tb stops at it runs no different (i think this is the iac).
if i disconnect the vacuum line to the map sensor, it idles down to 1400-1500. if i disconnect it it dies.
so what do you guys think it might be?
