Finally caged the mall crawler.

I just read the entire post. No where did I read if he installed everything or was going to tie enything in outside of what RH had on the installation manual.

Way to shit on a guys parade for wanting to make something as safe as it can and working hand in hand with his son.

I do have the same cage in my jeep, I have the RH triangulation installed as well as I have tied it in to the unibody frame as well as tied into the rails that I installed.

As far as the bolt together points, RH has done stress tests and have documented that those points are just as strong if not stronger than a welded point.

I have no problem with a disagreement from those in the 'know'. I will always admit if I am wrong.

Getting disagreeing opinions from those not in the 'know' or with limited knowledge on topics is another story.

that is exactly my point. i never said anything about you being wrong or right with your opinion. heck, for the most part i agree with you, there is alot of room for improvement on that cage. my point was that because your opinion was not the same as someone else's, you chose to insult him, and his intelligence by calling him a "tard" which to me is not much different than calling a black man a nigger, a mexican a beaner, ect. do you know for a fact that jeeperjohn has some sort of mental retardation? and the fact that you are on the BOD you should be even more cautious of what you post.

i dont understand why you laugh. i guess being on the BOD puts you at a higher level maybe? not sure. i just figured that our moderators have the job of deciding what is appropriate behavior. i am probably wrong about that. i admit, i have very little knowledge of the governorship of these online forums. again, it all comes down to personal character. and i know i wouldn't feel ok with making a comment like that. but hey, if you are good with it, then lets let it be.

well if this is in just a joking manor, then wow, i do feel like an idiot. i took it the wrong way and i am sorry. i did not realize you and jeeperjohn are friends and were joking around. heck if you knew me you would realize that i frequently insult my friends in a joking manor as they do right back at me. its all in good fun.

JeeperJohn and I have each other in our phones and will occasionall call each other. He knows where to call if I step on his toes and he also knows I am harmless.

FWIW I am also the head mod and have been for 5 years... before my second term ont he BOD.

thanks for the offer, but i only drink beer when im driving. but when we meet we can hit the crack pipe and steel some guys jeep just for laughs then dump at the border. :roflmao:
