I had a 44/9 inch combo out of a bronco that i waswgoing to swap into mine, but went a different route. I have a good buddy who is putting them in his XJ though. Is your XJ your DD, or trail only. If it is trail only I would spool the rear, and get a selectable or aussie up front.

That's the combo I have. I hate the spool though (My DD). Im going to swap in a Detroit in the rear soon

NP I haven't posted here in a while.
My rig is not a DD but it is not just trail only I want to go ARB front and rear.

I understand wanting selectable front and rear, but selectable is just one more thing to not work when you need it too. I like a spool in the rear because you ALWAYS know how a spool is going to work. If it wasn't for that whole steering thing, I'd spool the front too! LOL
