We are at pattern "U" now with the new ring and pinion, I think it looks good, but would like your opinions, and suggestions

Backlash is 0.006 inch, turning torque is 12 to 14 inch lbs.

Is that the turning torque with the carrier in or out?

Your number is acceptable if the carrier is not installed when taking the measurement.

yes, no carrier nor oil seal present for turning torque.
